Southeast Regional Sales Representative- Atlanta, GA OR Miami, FL

-Covers 10 states in the Southeast

-Independent, entrepreneurial sales professional from the wine/spirits industry who is interested in having no limits on earning potential (One of my clients employee’s is earning $200K)

-This sales group is a hard working group that prides themselves on excellent wines at reasonable prices and strives to deliver excellent service always, both internally and externally.

-Compensation is $5K per month plus commission until commission exceeds 5K /month. Ideally, they target 6 months before straight commission becomes the pay structure.  However, the company typically makes an independent judgment to see if they extend the time on salary before going to straight commission if the candidate needs a little more time.  All expenses are paid except for home office expenses. It is a 1099 position.

The company is a leading specialty wine importer and producer with a strong portfolio from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Mexico. They were among the first to sell wines from these regions and that pioneering spirit is reflected in everything they do.

In addition to their award winning Latin American wines, they are expanding their selection of fine European wines.   Their current focus is on Spain, Portugal & France with limited initial selections from Italy.

Ideal candidates are educated, enthusiastic, experienced, self-motivated and professional. Good critical thinking, management, communication and organizational skills are mandatory. Wine knowledge and good tasting ability are crucial. Contacts in the industry and street sales or regional sales experience are required.

The company sells wine to a balanced mix of on premise and off, chain stores and independents. Your goal will be to grow our distributors’ overall mix of business while you grow our sales volume with regional on and off premise accounts.

Other skills needed include:
-Bachelor Degree from an accredited college with minimum three years related experience required.
-Fluency in English & Spanish language is preferred.
-Ability to develop new accounts through entrepreneurial ability, drive and persistence.
-Proven success in wine/adult beverage industry sales and account management experience with
chain accounts.
-Ability to support customers to achieve rapid sell-through of our products.
-Ability to set goals and conduct semi-annual distributor reviews.
-Ability to create and maintain distributor programming, pricing and promotional budgets within annual budget parameters.
-Work with accounting to manage A/R for each distributor
-Ability to sell all brands in the portfolio in all regional states.
-Ability to become successful educator of Latin American & European wines.
-Excellent written communication and public speaking ability.
-Computer and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
-Marketing experience and social media skills a plus.
-Strong verbal and written communicator who can articulate clear images and messages through
words, public speaking and presentation skills.

Competitive initial starting salary plus commission based on meeting or exceeding goals. Travel expenses are paid by company. Candidate is responsible for keeping to budget.

Location of Position:
Job can be based in either Atlanta, GA OR Miami, FL.  Must have adequate home office, smart phone, laptop and valid driver’s license.   Must be willing to travel throughout state and region frequently and be able to lift 40 pounds.

The home office is located in Oregon with their imported product being sold directly from their wineries or from their Napa, California warehouse.   The company was established in 2000 and still growing rapidly.
